Does anyone have experience cutting the shaft on a neo1650, I don’t need the gear reduction but need the base plate hex conversion , any ideas?
im assuming you mean the normal rev neo with a 8mm keyed shaft. Last year when we used versaplanetaries, we just used a belt sander to get the shaft short enough. However, if you are trying to use a 8mm to hex adapter, I would first figure out how long you need the shaft in your robot design. Then, you can just sand down the shaft until there isn’t any more shaft sticking out of the adapter.
A 8mm to 1/2" hex adapter and possibly 1/2" hex couplers might be what you need.
