Cypress IO board connect

We are currently on the step for programming the IO board, and we are unable to connect to it with our classmate. the little LED comes on, and it makes the “New Hardware” pop sound when we plug it in. However, it does not come up on the PSoC programmer port list. We installed the cypress software on another computer, an it was able to successfully program the board with the FIRST hex file. however, when we plug it into our classmate, the classmate is unable to find it(it says there is no IO board connected on the driver station).

we are considering reinstalling the cypress software, butdoes anyone know why we are having the problem? We have installed the DriverStationUpdate1.

Here at 2199, we are having the same problem.

We fixed this problem by uninstalling all the Cypress programs and then using an external CD Drive to reinstall everything from the disk included in the KOP.

This is still STEVE D, but im using my friend’s log on. We were able to reprogram the chip after reinstalling the cypress program, however the driver station is still not able to find an IO board. We reprogrammed it, unplugged the usb, logged off the developer account and logged into the driver station, and then plugged it back in, but it was never found! Again, when we plug the board in the green LED on the board comes on, but in the driver station it says its unable to locate the unit. We have nothing connected to it, are we suppose to connect something to it???

We fixed it! we re-reran the DS update, an when it popped up with what to install, we had it remove all cypress componets from the update. then, we ran the update again and had it install the cypress update. We transferred the software to the IO board, and the Driver Station detected the board.
Too all that are having problems with the driver station: Have the update uninstall the componets. then run the update again and install the componets. Its worked for us on all our problems!

Installing the latest PSoC Update also works.

When you bring up the PSoC Programmer go to the Utilities tab and choose “Check for Update”, download and install.
You will need Internet access for this.

where do we find the correct HEX file to load on the card?? or did it come pre-programed??

thanks…

The hex file is at: All Users/Documents/FRC_IO.v2.hex

thank you very much!

We are hitting the same problem with the Programmer. In this case, would the best course of action be to look up the AVG (antivirus) activation keys, then connect it to the internet and hit “Check for Update?” I don’t think we have any external drives, so I hope to fix the problem without buying one or otherwise being slowed down.

Thank you.

EDIT:
I guess we’ll try installing it on our programming laptop and see if it still interfaces with the driver station. More information would be helpful, however.

EDIT2:
It’s working, but now I’m wondering about the breadboard – I can only access half the pins.

We need to update the cypress IO board but only one computer in our programing room has internet. Can we download the update on a flash drive and install the update that way?

Im having a similar issue but i have already configured the I/O board but the Driver station doesn’t seem to recognize it.

you need to uninstall and re-install the driver station update.
