Dave Lavery has his own award

Why didn’t he tell us? Its not FIRST related but close enough.

Hehe, yay Dave!

That’s awesome.
I always thought he should have an award named after him.
Sweet stuff. =D Go Dave!

Congratulations…

…now the question I think we all want to ask is, does the award look like a Krispy Kreme  ?

…honestly, these are the important questions I’ve learnt to ask in college :stuck_out_tongue: .

It is appropriate that this award should be named for Dave.

I’ll bet it grated on his nerves, and caused him to purse his lips, when he saw the spelling errors above.

And you didn’t even find all of them! This just goes to show that just running spell check is not enough.

Wetzel

Yeah, it would be nice if there was a ‘nonsense check’ function. Correctly spelled gobbledegook is becoming more and more common.

I second that. That’s the problem with learning to use Word and SpellCheck early- people thinks it finds everything and don’t bother to check.

I take pride on my spelling-

But back to the award- Congrats Dave! It’s a wonder it hasn’t come around before know.

Ewww they grate the people they give the award to? Like in a cheese grater? Gross…

Anyways congrats Dave.

I actually have Dave Miller, the recipient of the award, as a professor this semester in college. He is visiting for a semester, since he usually teaches at The University of Oklahoma. He is a really awesome professor who is extremely willing to go out of his way to help us. If we don’t know how to do something, Dave will point us in the right direction to figure it out and guide us along the process. The work he has done with Botball is extremely cool also, and he has developed that program into an excellent way to get students excited about robotics and artificial intelligence.

So congratulations to both Dave Lavery for having such an exciting award named after him, and to Dave Miller, for receiving it and doing so much to push young minds to think about robotics!

Awsome!

Now how cool is that?
