I was sitting there in my Intro to Business class when i saw a familiar face in the text. There was a certain section called Focus on Entrepreneurs: Dean Kamen – DEKA Research & Development Corporation. (ill give you some excerps for all interested)
1986 set up a hands on science musuem
then set up U.S. FIRST
in school years he read about his favorite scientific greats (archimedes, galileo, newton, and einstein)(hmmm, i wonder:) )
after highschool he invented systems for audiovisual shows
then invented an automated device to give doses of medicine intravenously (i actually just had one of those in my knee, i have ACL surgery 
)
at age 31 a multimillionare
then he branched out on helcopter design and climate control systems
at DEKA he designed small kidney dialysis machines
it also says he is working on a secret project that involves hot air engines like those in 1816
