I know that during week 6 people are in a hurry trying to finish the build season and are putting many hours into their creations and the last thing you want to think about is another competition but the first ever Deconstruction is going to take place the 22-24 of Feb.
The Deconstruction is a 48-hour creative event for Makers, Artists, Students, Programmers, Problem-Solvers, Designers, Performers, Robots…basically anyone! It challenges teams of participants to rethink (deconstruct) the world around them by creating something new from existing objects and ideas.
The Deconstruction is a decentralized event. People anywhere and everywhere can participate, physically and digitally, through live-streaming and social media. The entire event will be broadcast continuously on-line from Feb 22nd-24th and feature participants (you?), special guests, and live conversations about the creative process, new ideas, and making new ideas real.
So if you are not over-exhausted from the build season and want to try to push yourself and what you can do in 48 hours I encourage you to check it out.
P.S It is free to enter and there are also some cool prizes like a 40W laser cutter, but mostly you should do it because it is fun.
