We got a battery in the KOP like everyone else. However, this year’s battery is already bad. The battery beak says so and whenever we use it we get brownouts in the first minute or two from just regular driving.
We have never discharged the battery more than 50% and the battery has less than 10 cycles on it as we have a lot of batteries and have not driven much. We also treat our batteries well and still have good batteries from 2012 on the comp bot.
Is there any way that we can get a replacement? Or is it too late?
I don’t think I can give any advice myself, but there does seem to be a trend with some new 2019 batteries drastically underperforming. If you haven’t already, I’d recommend looking at this related thread that was on here quite recently:
I don’t think FIRST will give replacements considering I haven’t heard of anyone with a good KOP battery this year. Hopefully they don’t get batteries from the same supplier next year.
Yep, our alliance partner had issues browning today. We ended up loading them some of our batteries (varying from 2017-2018). Stopped all issues, they were using all new ones.
