Hi guys,
So i looked up everything on google and on this forum and couldn’t find up how to program the denso motors. I know the where to connect it on the power board and I know that you need to use the Victor. I have the victor connected the side car but my programs don’t work. I modified the Arcade Drive example they give us to use Victor instead of Jaguar and I felt that it would work but apparently not. Now, I don’t have the robot to test it but can you guys help me and give me maybe pointers to the program for denso motors. we are a rookie team and this is our first year with labview so we dont know much… Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Arcade Drive is a wrapper on top of motor VIs. You don’t really want arcade, you want the VI located in Actuators/Motor. In Begin, Open a reference to the motor and register it with a name. Not throughout your program, you can get the refnum using the name and update the setting on the motor.
Denso and other motors should all work with a victor.

Exact same way as a drive motor as long as it is wired the same. that is what we have done and are doing.
That is what we did, except we used the victor controller. however, we are only using only one denso motor but that drive example uses two motors and two joystick axis. additionally, the victor is flashing and not becoming stable like the jaguar does… need help
Victors are notoriously tricky to connect. The pins on the pwm cable often get wedged between the actual connector and the shroud in such a way that it fells connected, but isn’t. Try unplugging it and carefully plugging it back in. Make sure it goes in straight and that the pins are not bent. Push it in firmly and test again. Repeat until a signal can be established. Once in it will usually stay in, but it is a pain to connect. If all else fails, try replacing the signal wire.
