I heard that team 0009 using this new gear lubricant that reduces friction tremendously. Its better than slick 50 anything u ever seen. I think they call it GHEE.
ghee
n.
A clarified semifluid butter used especially in Indian cooking.
This the stuff?
NO i think they got it from the holy land. i think that its clorox color. you have to be very careful with it.
I think someone is pulling your leg. This probably belongs in the Rumor Mill.
They were at our regionals and we saw them running they were going at least 16 feet a sec it was so cool. we asked them what they used and they said GHEEEEE. i was like what is that. i looked it up and it was some kind of butter. there was a second definition to it and it said that it was a lubricant for gears so u guys figure it out.

How big a impact do you think the type of lubercant used had? I think if you were to spit into your gearbox before each match you wouldn’t notice any huge reductions in top speed (not sure how long your gearbox would last though).

If you made your gears out of starch, they would be gone pretty fast.
need some bread gears for that butter lubricant
16 feet a second doesn’t necessarily mean super-lube, more than likely it means lots of motors and high ratio. I highly doubt the difference in lube could make that dramatic of difference. Back in 2000 at nats I heard about some team having 500$ German made wheels on there bot. I would put this into the same category.
