As I said in the old Chief Delphi forums, these forums ARE NOT designed for random posting!!! The chit-chat forum is not for random stuff, it’s for robotics related stuff. There’s gotta be something better to do than post randomly.
PLEASE, don’t post randomly anymore

According to the description on the main forums page,
Chit-Chat
Any off-topic discussion should happen here.
From that, especially since there’s a forum just for off-topic and random stuff, I’d say it’s ok…besides, if you really wanted to push the issue, this could have something to do with FIRST…Nationals, after all, are at WDW…
David, Buddy, Calm Down.
This is a place for friends to communicate about anything. Until I see you as a moderator of this board, I shouldn’t expect you to get high blood pressure over something like that. After all, at least it wasn’t too terrible- Mike brought to us some invaluable unless knowledge!!
My post above wasn’t meant to be in a negative manner. Sorry. As people on my team know, I’m not usually the type of person to get mad and outburst at someone else. Sometimes when I get angry I need to let it go somewhere and I let it go on the message forums. It’s not right and not fair to anybody else. I guess I’m not the type of person who likes complete randomness. I like to stay in a specifiec structure. We gotta have fun sometime, and this would be a good place to have fun with lots of robo geeks. So from now on if I don’t like something on the board I will TRY not to outburst my emotions. As Erin said, I’m not a moderator and I shouldn’t try to be. And Mike, I’m sorry if I offended you or anyone else.
as well you should be! i dont know how ill ever get over youre abuse of me!
seriously though, dont worry…im very hard to offend
as far as youre not much liking random posting, well, to each their own
David, chill. This is the chit-chat part of site. Incase you haven’t met him, which I haven’t come to think of it, Mike posts random things often. At least it’s during the off-season and not on the geeneral forum. It keeps things interesting and you never know when one of these random possts may help you win a game of Trivial Pursuit. Everything will be O.K.
C~ya,
Crolyn
i post on-topic stuff too though
Don’t worry too much about it, David… I mean, we’ve all been posting on this forum for a while now, and I think that most people in here managed to make friends with each other in some degree or another. So, I would like to think that this could be a place where friends can mess up, and will be forgiven unconditionally. Then we can all learn from the experience and move on.
And I think we should not force people to keep opinions to themselves… Everyone have different things they like or dislike, and sharing opinions is one way to learn about each other and open yourselves to a wider view.
And I never really like the kind of replies to you message that say: “If you see something you don’t like, then don’t read it and don’t say anything.” But I haven¡¦t seen that in a long time now¡K
David, your reply about how you like to stay in a specific structure is totally acceptable in this place. You have an opinion and you explain why you feel that way.
I remember I used to “attack” random posts in the old forum, and I eventually learned that messages without emotional outburst and well explained reasons tend to let more people understand what I am thinking…
Finally, let’s not get political about this… I hate to see people being restricted of what they can/can’t say because of being a moderator or not. While I don’t see it as a completely wrong way of tell a person to watch his language, I don’t see it as the perfect answer to every message with a different tone… I don’t mean any offense to you, Erin, just that I don’t see the point of pulling out the name of “moderator”…
Wow¡K I actually finish this message without using ¡§gracious professionalism¡¨¡K
I wonder how many times those two words have been used in discussion through out a year¡K
:oI met Mike a couple of times. Maybe someday I’ll recover. Nahhh…

yeah…without anton i wouldnt be here
then again, without anton i might still be almost sane
I’ve done some research. There is a 60% insanity rate among FIRSTers. This rate increases dramatically if you spend more than 50 hours workin on the robot. It jumps to 90% if you’ve ever pulled an all-nighter. 95% if you pulled it on your 18th bday (it was fun, i swear)… 97% if you have ever been “in the booth” during a match… and finally 100% if you are a team captain…
…or if your a rambot…whichever comes first…
