Does the digital animation award exclude stop motion animation?
If you go to the award specific web-site it says:
The submitted animation must be no more than 30 seconds long including credits (does not include title screen). Animations more than 30 seconds long will not be judged.
That’s not what was being asked. I think you copy-pasted the wrong section, as the one above it has the correct answer.
“Submissions may be 2D, 3D, mixed media, stop motion or anything else you can use to animate a story.”
So the answer is YES you can use stop motion
