Discovered Upgrade Issues

We’ve misplaced “View reputation given” in the UserCP or I can’t find it.

Brandon already mentioned it:

They’ll return–it was earlier in the thread.

Two more things I’m noticing:

  1. On rep clicks I’ve received, some of the thread names are truncated while others aren’t.

  2. Not so much a bug as a feature, but is there a way to sort of enable the way threads used to show in new post searches, where recently-read threads would stay in the list?

  3. I tried to quote Madison’s post in mine, and clicked the quote button that turned orange. I don’t see the quote.

  4. Maybe I’m blind, but I can’t seem to find the “Shush forums, I really did read those 256 threads so take them off my new posts” button.

Its for quoteig multiple posts like I did in reply to M.Krass about her comment about the reputation. If you click multiple of them and then click Post Reply at the bottom it will quote all posts. It works the same way with just one.

I still don’t see the WAI pics in the threads.

But for something thats cool, i like the new goto page option in the lower right.

Probably a feature in the new vb … it’ll be addressed when i add the reputation list enhancements back in.

they should … and if not, you can go to ‘new posts’ menu and go to the past 24 hours lists …

as michelle said … you can quote multiple posts now. click the ’ " ’ icons, then hit ‘quote’ on one of em, i think. i havent quite mastered that new feature yet, either.

‘quick links’ -> ‘mark forums read’

Any chance of you adding some “issues” such as forcing dave to explain all of his posts:D

Who’s Online shows all the recent spiders as well as humans.

I’m pretty sure that it has always done that.
Update: (This is a thread that shows that it has).

But not knowing is half the fun.

I think there is something wrong with the birthdays, because there was more than 3 this morning and now it is only displaying 3 but when you click the birthday cake next to where it lists them, you can view all of them.

About the multi-quote when you click the quote buttons, it will arrange the quotes in the order that you click them, not in chronological order. Just thought I’d explain that before someone asked.

Didn’t it always do that?

One more quirk: I can’t list the members of hidden forums (like NEMO). The list of hidden groups is there, I can see the groups, but nothing happens when I click the name.

Feature -

Birthdays and # of users, and such, will now only show people who have been active.

I’ve set it to 182 days (approx 6 mo …)

After reading a thread or posting in that thread it still shows unread.

Ah, forgot to upgrade that page … should be ok now.

Clear your cookies, log out, log in, (when you’re ready) ‘mark forums read’.

It may be a stale cookie / upgrade issue.

Yeah, I was just testing that new feature out.
It isn’t very useful, so I put it back.

Ok, after spending 6 hours upgrading … I need a break.

** Here is the issue list … anything else I don’t know about.
Please re-post any I have missed, and be as detailed as possible.
**I’ll get to the rest of these tomorrow morning.

  1. Spell check is gone. It may come back. Then again … newer browsers / operating systems have spell check built in, so it may not come back.

  2. the ‘new posts’ menu up top – the subscribed forums searches aren’t implemented yet.

  3. The UFH and WFA images that show up by peoples avatar aren’t working yet.

  4. The list of reputation you’ve given in the user cp is missing – it will return.

  5. Who Am I and CD-Event attendance listings on everybodies posts are being ‘weird’.

Brandon,

I’ll keep a running list in this post of things that people post after me, just to try and keep it all in one place. Hope that helps.

Nothing worse than stale cookies. Yes Firefox 2.0 does have built in spell checker. Thanks

I’ve been logging in on machines other than my iBook, and I’m finding that I’m getting logged out quicker. Like just a couple of minutes of inactivity instead of the fifteenish of the olden days.
