As we come down to the wire, volunteer help is still needed at the Championship.
Many teams bring a contingent of support with them - such as parents and other chaperones. It would be awesome if some of those folks were willing to work as crowd control on Thursday (short ~20 people) and Friday (short ~10 people.)
So… over the weekend please talk to those “extra” adults on your teams – some of them might be delighted to have a job to do. See if any of them would be willing to volunteer on either Thursday or Friday.
If they are willing, send them to http://www.usfirst.org/volunteer/ and have them register for Crowd Control at the Championship. They will then be contacted by FIRST next week.
(Note: There is not a need for your team to short itself help in the pits, stands or field for this cause – there should be plenty of folks whose current assignment is “spectator” that will be willing to chip in.)
