Do you plan on using both vision target types?

We have yet to construct the field, so its unclear to me how visible the april tags will be if you are to the left or right of them.

I’m curious to hear what teams currently are thinking for vision systems.

If we use vision it’ll be with the new apriltags. Our team isn’t sure about the future of the retroreflective tape as a target and so we’re looking into switching over to the apriltags and photonvision

I believe if you recognize one april tag on the field then you should be able to plot out where the tape on the cone nodes is. So basically like use the april tag as a reference point seeing as how the tags are aligned with the cube shelfs and the tape is with the cones. This would effectively eliminate the need to use both at the same time (I think)

I was thinking about seeing if I could do something alone those lines with a bunch of Pose2d Objects.

I believe the blog from last year said vision tape would be phased out by 2024
