Does FRC still provide student licenses for CAD programs?

Our rookie team has a few students who are interested in using a 3D software to design some robot parts this year. I know FIRST used to get a couple free licenses for programs like Inventor. Is that something that is still provided, if so where can we find them?

Thanks!

Fusion 360 is always free for students and teachers.

Beyond that you may have noticed a section called “virtual kit of parts.” That includes more.

You can get licenses for Autodesk products, Solidworks, Onshape, and PTC Creo. Details can be found on the Kit of Parts website (scroll down to the software section).

I would highly recommend Onshape if you’re looking for a free software. It’s cloud-based which makes it easy for students to save their work and access it from anywhere.
Do your students have any CAD experience? Onshape also has a lot of learning tools and is very beginner-friendly.

If you do choose Onshape, you can just click on Education subscription when you’re signing up and then put your FRC team number and your students will have free access.
