Don't purchase from Pneuaire.com

I just wanted to give a heads up to teams to watch out for Pneuaire.com. I placed an order on 3/18, items were in stock. I paid for 3-day delivery. I waited, and waited, and waited. I emailed them, and emailed them, and emailed them. No reply. I checked my bank statement, they took the money, but still no product. I called, and called, and called. Was put on hold by machine. Last week I finally got a hold of a non machine, I mean a human. They quickly helped me out and said the items would ship last Thursday, and I would have them Friday or Monday at the latest. They also said that they are having trouble keeping workers. They also told me that Coast Pneumatics are part of Pneuaire. No parts come Friday. No Parts came today. So I called again. Was put on hold for over 15 minutes, so I hung up, called Coast Pneumatics and was answered the first ring. Hmm. Coast put me in touch with a sales representative who immediately knew nothing about the call last week and the order would not arrive until Wednesday of this week, maybe. So I cancelled my order, and now need to find someone else other than Pneuaire or Coast Pneumatics for items.

So now I need to find some SMW valves: SY5220-LOZ-01T
and some Reservoir Cartridge Mounting Bracket RCMB2.5

Have any ideas besides Pneuaire.com and Coast Pneumatics?

That’s strange. We ordered 4 plastic air tanks from them this summer for IRI, and had no issues. What has changed with them since June?

We bought from them in the past, that’s why I went back to them this year. I can understand back ordered parts. But the order says will ship in 24 hours, then no replies to email, put on hold, and then they don’t know about previous phone call? Hmm. It’s strange; they might be in trouble.

Its ok, we can always use the Clippard tanks.

We use the Clippard tanks with no issue as I’m sure hundreds of other teams do as well. I highly doubt there’s any kind of safety defect. In reality someone probably torqued the hell out of the fittings and compromised the integrity of the end caps.

As did we, it was just a cheap laugh.

We also ordered from pneuaire this year. We ordered some tubing, fittings, and air tanks since we got to Andymark after they pulled the plastic ones from sale. Our order also didn’t show up for a while and we did call them. Found out several weeks later that the tubing was coming from Japan so they held the whole order. We eventually got everything so my only grip would be that we got no notice that order was being delayed.

We probably will order next year from them, but I bet we’ll call the order in so we know if something is going to hold it up.

I bought some tanks in build season and got them within days. No issues, but obviously I didn’t interact with the customer service. Yikes! I hope you can source what you need somewhere else; we haven’t found very good diversity for pneumatics suppliers.

I believe there are actually two different companies…
I also know that they had a problem with their web site about a month ago.

I know that we placed an order on line and nothing happened.
When I spoke with them…on the phone… they got the items out right away and we got them within a week…

Sorry you had so much trouble. I think the best way to interact with them is on the phone and not via email or the online shopping.
We have bought tanks from them for 3 years now and have always been happy with them…

We have been buying parts from them, both the Pneuaire and Coast Pneumatics components of the company, for years without any problems.

(however, I still can’t get a catalog from McMaster-Carr)

.

We bought approximately 12 air tanks and appropriate mounting brackets in the third week of the season and received them fairly quickly.

Spoke with a human on the phone at both companies. Very helpful both times. Tanks came next day to me in SoCal by ground shipping. SMC valves through Coast came out of Indiana.
