I think people are being a little hasty( and a little intimidated )by three regionals in a row. Im just here to say DONT GIVE UP YET. There are people out there who(like me) could eat, sleep, and breath this stuff all year round. So if your team has the determination(not to mention the iron constitution) why not bring it before them and see if they’re up to the chalenge. You might be suprised…(p/s. To Joe-Joe if you read this: Mountain Dew, nothing like it for doing late night college papers over here at University of Detroit Mercy)

Austin,
Great to hear from you. Keep up your grades, they are like money in the bank.
As to Dew, you know you’ll get no argument from me.
As to 3 regionals in a row? I don’t know. I am not a young as I used to be, even with Dew figured in.
Nothing final yet.
What would you think about MI, TX, & PA?
Not likely but not entirely out of the question.

Dan,
Don’t you have a class you should be teaching…
math 140 or math 480…i dont know…
by the way im probably transferring into math 141 come monday, i’ve had to help acouple of ‘friends’
with their calc 1 homework…then i realized that i should be in that class so we’ll have to talk about getting the first club
together on our own time and not around class time.
later
Austin
ps(i did some talking with the rest of my crew, Dave, Cary, and John, and their all up for starting our own team)

As Austin stated earlier, i would be all up for starting a FIRST club together…bye the way, im John. Austins been telling me that Dan Maggio wants to get a first club started. At first i was skeptical, but then i remembered all the fun i had over the two years that i spent on the first teams. Finally, i decided that it wouldnt be fair to not share the fun with other students. So, Dan Maggio, if you read this, you can get my phone number and whatever else you need from austin, and we can talk about this at a later time.

hey everyone,
I was looking at the list of regionals and it would be tough to hit 3, plus the cost would be $13,000 which isn’t cheap plus another 4,000 for Disney. I myself would love to hit 3, and being from the northeast I was looking at NJ, NY and then CT, but I don’t think the kids should be missing that much time but one week is April vaction so it would only be a bit of time missed. Whether the teachers and engineers like the idea of going to 3 or not I’m not sure, that is alot of time and energy, any team that goes to 3 deserves a lot of respect for trying such a tough feat. But I wouldn’t count on anyone making 3 regionals and then the finals down in Florida. But this is First and anything is possible Good luck to everyone

Hey everybody, this is John Youngquist. I am one of the Pontiac Central/Delphi first alumni. I just stopped by and read austins message. I just want to say that he is totally correct. Most of my creative ideas have come from mountain dew. Anyways, just wanted to say hi to everyone and good luck on the upcoming year in first!
