Does anyone have a fix for the error DotNetClientPackageManagerNotInstalledError when trying to install the FRC tools?
I completed vscode and the wpilibj, uninstalled last years National Instruments according to the instructions, and downloaded the installer for this year’s frc tools. However, when I run it I get the message:
Everything ran fine last year. I did some online research on how to fix this, but nothing helped. I
- disabled antivirus and turned off the firewall
- attempted to install the NI Package manager (got the same message)
- tried downloading from a different browser (firefox and chrome)
- ran as system administrater
- rebooted computer several times.
I am running windows 10 on this computer:
Any suggestions?

OK - final followup. I got the FRC tools to install by downloading the offline installer. I still don’t know why this laptop didn’t like the online installer - it worked for our other laptops and has always worked on this one before.
