Are there any teams at this time known to have double sided intakes?
Isn’t there, like, 4 teams who have released?
It’s still pretty early in the release season. We’ll see more robots in the coming weeks.
7407 has dual intakes: https://youtu.be/Gcq8Wx2VPk0
It looks like 4265 also has intakes on either side.
4451 does from a picture I’ve seen.
We have dual intakes as well.
Not from this year but 1684 from 2020 had a beautiful double sided intake
3015??
Are there any teams known to have double shooters?
This isn’t related to this thread at all, but looking at your hood, I notice that you seem to only have two stages of reduction from a falcon to the actual thing. I imagine your probably not getting more than a 3:1 from the pulley and maybe 100:1 max from the 3dp hood gear itself. I know that last year my team used a versaplanetary to get a good bit more reduction than that on our hood, so I’m curious how well y’all have been able to control that with precision. If you dont’ mind me asking, have you had any trouble or is it enough reduction?
3132 also has a double shooter they posted pictures of it on their instagram
Our team decided to have a 4 sided intake
The overall ratio is 78:1 and we are using a Falcon motor. With this reduction, even with our hardest shot, the forces do not back-drive the motors any perceivable amount. So, no issues with not having enough reduction.
Additionally, since the print resolution off the Mark Forged is quite good, the rack and pinion mesh perfectly. The initial reduction is belted, so cumulatively there is little to no perceivable backlash. It is working really well for us!
Here’s a video of some shots we took last night with our auto-aim feature. This adjusts the angle and shooter velocity based on distance read from the Limelight
I don’t know what’s more impressive, the robot or the rockwall.
Wow that sure would be cool
