Our team workshop was no internet connectivity and cellphone reception for most of us is non-existent. This causes problems for the software team since the only Java API documentation we have is online. Can anyone point us at a source for a download of the WPILib Java class documentation tree found at Overview (WPILib API 2024.2.1) so that we can have an offline reference to use when our T-mobile-using mentor (whose phone we’ve been tethering to) is absent?
A copy of the WPILib API documentation is installed by the WPILib installer. On Windows, the Java docs can be found in C:\Users\Public\wpilib\2024\documentation\java.
So it is - thanks! I thought it was installed locally in previous years but the shortcut on the Windows desktop seemed to take us to the online version this year. I didn’t, of course, bother looking inside the installation directory
That was a bug in the kickoff release that’s fixed in 2024.2.1.
That’s good to hear - our workshop development laptops all still have 2024.1.1 on them (mostly due to the lack of internet). Time to sweet-talk our T-Mobile user into donating some hotspot time for the update, I guess.
