Every year, FRC 5190 puts on an event to encourage girls in STEM fields, called Doyenne Inspiration. The event is about empowering young women through the Doyenne Inspiration Seminar to become engineers, computer programmers, and STEM leaders. Together, young women will delve into the fields of STEM through this female-focused event. Through this event, we will create a family of young women supporting other women in these commonly male-dominated fields. We invite any and all young women interested in leading the charge to bring more women into STEM to attend the seminar for Free!
TIME & LOCATION:
This year, Doyenne is going virtual! The event will take place on WEBEX on OCTOBER 17TH from 1-5 PM EST. There will be a series of workshops that girls can attend, and the event will conclude with a discussion panel.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
Our keynote speaker this year is Dr. Laura Bottomley. She is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Colleges of Engineering and Education at NC State University and the Director of Women in Engineering.
