Do the specifications that Dr. Joes two white papers on the Bosch 3/8" drill still work for the slightly larger 1/2" drills?
Our team has yet to open the kits, so I can’t look for ymself just quite yet…

I’m not sure what specs you are refering to.
The famous “Dr Joe’s drill motor shaft” will probably need to be modified to work in the new motors. But with the new hardware, it might not be as necessary to use it. There are a few people trying to take these trannys apart and see what is going on in the output stage. I haven’t heard of anybody succeding yet. The as is set up may be acceptable, but we don’t know yet. Personally I’d rather not deal with left handed screws (many bad memories, shudder), so we’ll try and do something once somebody figures out how to get the thing apart without destroying it.
If you’re talking about performance information, then yes it will certainly be different. Though from what I’ve seen if you use the old info you will have a very conservative design. The old data is certainly a good starting place.
