Ok…now that i have a couple drill motors to mess with
and some spare time (hey…finals aren’t for another
2 weeks ;)…anyone care to explain all that stuff
about the drill motors to me? The stuff that was on
here right as the comp. started this year about the
backdrive pins (i think) and some other things.

Or better yet, someone want to write one of those
white papers about it?

I would really like to have those things figured out
before next year so that my team can use them to their
full potential…

Thanks,
Tom

I’m a little familiar with them but i couldn’t pull them
apart into a million pieces and put them back together
again like i’ve seen people do before. i’ve done a little
work with them but not much. I could and would love to help
you out with them. Just tell me what you need and if I don’t
know it, i can consult one of my teachers who knows all about
them.

The following link has the info on how to take those nasty no-back pins out of those drill transmissions.

Good Luck.

p.s. Joe…you seem pretty knowledgeable about the backdrive pins and
stuff…you sure you don’t want to write one of those white papers about
it w/ pictures and stuff…that’s what they are supposed to be for…
right?..you don’t have to give away the family farm…but (at the risk
of sounding like i’m begging)…i’m a lot better with pictures…

oh well…i tried…

Thanks for your vote of confidence. I am available if you get stuck. I have talked folks through editing config.sys files over the phone, I think helping you get your transmission spinning again would be a piece of cake.

As to writing a white paper on the subject, I will add it to the list of white papers I want to write some day when I catch up on things a bit (I really do have such a list

If anyone else would like to do it, feel free.

P.S. my pager is 810.485.6176. telephone is 248.696.5672 good luck
