Driver Station Joystick Slots Filled

Hello Chief,

I’m running the newest version of driver station on my laptop. The problem I’m facing is that the 6 slots for joysticks are already taken by other joysticks I’ve plugged in in the past. If I want to try a new type, when I plug it in, it isn’t given a spot on the driver station.

I’ve repeatedly tried the rescan button underneath the slots but that button seems worthless. I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling all of the game tools as a last resort solution but when I reopened the old controllers are still remembered.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to delete old joysticks?

The old joysticks/gamepads might be “locked”. If you double click on the old ones in the list does the line underneath go away?

Double-click on each joystick you want to remove.
