What drive bases are teams thinking about?

If your team has the capability to do swerve, swerve is for sure the best option.

If you are nor capable to do swerve, for this game i would suggest tank drive

With how open it is swerve is definitely the clear choice. If that is not a option tank is the next beat thing beacuse there is little to maneuver around so you can really open up tank this year.
The moral of the story is don’t use Mecanum!

with i would agree but with the limited defense this year i could see more teams going back to mecanum drive if they can’t afford serve but still want to play hyper offense.

Swerve but we might change to a larger gear ratio since we tested with the 5.12 and it’s nowhere near the top speed during the cycle.
Swerve drive. Since defense will be tough for this game, teams have to rely on fast cycles between coral substations and the Reef to secure a win. That, and it would make traversing through the barge area slightly easier.
Our team doesn’t have swerve, so we are probably going to use a modified H drive or a tank drive with a way to strafe for alignment with the reef, should be interesting regardless
