For the first time this year. It rocks!
Wow! 3:30 minutes before we shipped! And that last bolt was being tightened when the FedEx truck pulled up, too.
And the one time I leave, it drives (hehe, not really, I exaggerate…) A full, what… less than 15 minutes of driving and a table broken?
I miss the robot… What exactly will I do after school… aaaaaah what is this concept known as “home”. Especially directed at you, Adam…
this is the first year that we actualy got to do driver tryouts with the current robot (gee that makes sense doesn’t it) it was great!
We even found time for a few hours of driver practice yesterday before the 2pm ship time.
I know that i feel alot more confident about regionals now that i have had some time to see how the bot runs and figure out its quirks and such.
We really only got to let our drivers drive with this years robot for the last week. The plan was driver practice from 2:30 to 5:00 and then the manufacturing team took it over for tuning and adding final features and functions.
yeah… I ran the button box for about 20 min on Sunday, I think… and other than that neither of us had ‘practice’. We have modified our past two robots to work with though… one has similar accessory features for me to manipulate boxes with and the other has similar drive features for the driver to practice with.
Looking at this post now, I realize that this was the only time that we actually drove well. And then we put on the arm…
