Dual in the Desert 2008- Mesa, Arizona

Team 2380 would like to let everyone know that our team will host a Dual in the Desert at Desert Ridge High School the Saturday before ship date. We are located in Mesa, AZ.

We invite you to come out to test your robots and have some fun.
The time is roughly 1:00-8:00pm.

If anyone would be interested in helping out please contact me. We can use some extra help to be sure- thanks.

We will post more on the event soon. If you think you will attend, please let us know as we would like to try and keep a tally of who all is coming.

Thanks! 1212 will try and make it - we say that every year and most of the time we never can. I like how this one is later in the day though! So hopefully we can make it!

Team 498 is interested in going

We’re interested in going, but some things have to happen…including setting up a school field trip…so we’re a “maybe” right now. I’ll see what it will take to get things set up.

Cool, we are looking forward to all of you coming!

Please keep us in the loop if you can make it.

Would love to hear from more teams.

We are planning on coming!

Hi everyone,

On our website we have added more info on the Duel. We have added a sign up form to let us know who is attending as well as a place to sign up if you would like to lend a hand with the Duel.

We have added this information to keep everyone updated on the info for the Duel as well as to help us plan for how many teams/people etc.
We would appreciate if you could drop by our website and sign up.

Thanks for helping to make this a great time!

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Due to scheduling of the building we will have to have the DUEL start around 2pm and go until about 6:00 or 7:00pm.
We cannot get in to set up before 1pm.

Please make notes of the times.

Sorry to be nitpicky, but do you mean a ‘Duel in the Desert’? Or is Dual an acronym?

Sorry all for the brain cramp on the spelling.

Yes someone was being nitpickly and they are right.
Sorry I guess I’ve pulled too many all nighters trying to get our new team up and running.

I’ll correct it where I can.

Diane

Thanks for the heads up 498 about our form. I got it fixed.

What my esteemed colleague really means here is that we have 1/2 of an overpass assembly that we could bring. It’s a complete overpass for either a blue or a red finish line (but not both). We built it to practice track-ball removal, hurdling, and placement.

Big thank you to Jag Robotics for hosting the duel!

Pretty awesome day and some sick robots

Sick in a good way, if you’re talking about 39’s shooter!

too bad we had to leave early…

Thanks For hosting. It was great being able to work out some bugs. (code) Number 39 had a great shooter!
