Duel on the Delaware Registration

Last year the money was a refunded deposit of good faith. Is it the same this year?

WC

Last year, the inaugual Duel on the Delaware was funded in conjunction with the DuPont Company’s 200th Anniversary. With this funding, we could afford to open it up to teams for free.

Needless to say, the 201st anniversary is not as big of a deal, so our funding from DuPont is severely limited. That being said, we will need to charge a registration fee this year. Based on what I have seen, $100-150 per team registration is on the low end. So, register now! Support MOE & The Miracle Workerz (Team #365) and the LuNaTeCs (Team #316). You’ll have a blast doing it.

Maybe at DuPont’s 250th anniversary (the Duel will celebrate it’s 50th anniversary), we will once again refund all registration fees. If any of us are around for that, God Bless Us!

The dual being set up already? Can’t wait!
Let’s hope we have a third alliance partner this year…

what you mean you didnt like IronMan Robotics? Just one question – What did you do with that 3rd trophy 0o :stuck_out_tongue: ?

With the way 87 built their machine this year I’m certain they’ll be up for the Ironman robotics challenge again!

What kind of minigames/extra stuff are we looking for in the duel?

Will you guys be needing help afterwards/the night before to set up/take down?

As far as I know… we still have the third trophy with the rest of our corian awards… we use it to show off the awards we make and give.

We locked in the date early so we can get the registration rolling. We plan to observe what mini-rounds went well at other off-season comps in addition to gathering our collective creative minds to come up with some new ideas.

Also, thanks for the offer of assistance with set-up and break-down. As we get closer to the date, we will have a better handle on our volunteer needs.

We will keep everyone posted on our progress. Stay Tuned!

As the defending MalPractice Award recipeints, i am trying to convince 122 to come…Also i will be on 190 next year so working on them as well…hehe

I had an idea for one of your mini rounds… How about a king of the hill comp with twist-Castle building. All the boxes are taken off the top of the ramp and put on the floor. Then your score is based on how many boxes you can get on top of the ramp. Bonus points for stacking up there.

Alex:

MOE and the Miracle Workerz hope both the NASA Knights (Malpractice Award defending champs) and Team 190 can make it!

If either team plans to attend, sign up now and save some bucks!

Clap-clap—clap-clap-clap—Go DUEL!

As the driver who won the Malpractice award bows  I will be doing my best to get my new team, 401 to come. If not, I may just go myself.
