E-stop record??

I think we may have set a negative record in our stay in atlanta… we’ve hit the E-stop 5 times in our 7 qualification matches (first time electrical problem all the others tipping over…)
is that a record?

anyway… we all had a great time

We’ve hit e-stop about 5 times this year. 1 for tipping in Atlanta, 1 for an electrical problem and 1 for a penumatics problem (meanging shifters wouldn’t engage) in Philly and twice at VCU for electrical problems.

This wasn’t the best of years for our robot.

I think this was the first time I’ve personally hit the E-stop in a match, after we’d fallen apart (again) in a Chesapeake practice match. I don’t recall us hitting it in qualification matches, though.

 this was the first year that we DIDN’T hit our E-stop!! EVER!! YAY!!

We hit the e-stop in every single one of our matches in the 2001 season. Does that count?

NO! Bad Jeff, bad! hits with stick

For those of you “noobs” out there, 2001 had a multiplier of scores based on how quickly the matched ended, and to end the match all teams had to e-stop.

At Davis we hit the E-Stop close to every match, not wanting to risk a <G22>, after the drive train failed as soon as we crossed the other alliance’s finish line and spun our front into the wall, parallel with the line.

We haven’t E-Stopped in at least the past three years, and I believe past four.

we had to hit it once in the semifinals of AZ
and once in a practice when a freshmen on the drive team said “OH BIG RED BUTTON”

Twice this year.

Once when our drive train broke, and then again when our radio cable (screwed in mind you) ripped out of our robot controller.

Good stuff. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yeah, that happened to us in one of the qualification matches at VCU.

I have been on the drive team for 233 3 years in a row, and I had to be the one to break the streak of no E-stopping at the Hawaiian Regional during one of the Semi’s

We hit our e-stop allot this year but, surprisingly we did not hit it in championships. But In NJ i think it was about more then half the matches we played we were hiting the big red button. We even used our broken robot to our advantage once by e-stooping under our travkball on the overpass .

But i am hopping that next year we will not need the big red button that is so much fun to hit. Every time you hit i think it lowers the moral of the team.
