E4-Ps on a RoboRio


I’m trying to hook E4-P US Digital Encoders up to my RoboRio. Where do I attach them, and how do I attach them?

Everything you will need to know can be found in the Examples.
There is an example specifically for encoders.

What programming language do you use? The LabVIEW examples are amazingly detailed, with pictures and everything.

The short answer is: a quadrature encoder connects to two Digital Inputs on the RoboRIO.

I use Labview. I’ll check the Labview examples. Thanks!
