I have a few eDrawing files that I can view with a viewer, but I want to work with either AutoCAD or Inventor. Is there any way of converting from a eDrawings format to a format that can be recognized by these applications?
Fine, I want to change the question a bit by asking if anybody knows how to find dimensions on an eDrawing. Is it just between two points or what?
Looking at eDrawings Professional for the first time, it looks as if it’s meant only to communicate ideas or changes on a drawing and doesn’t seem to allow you to export the model to another format or to even measure dimensions.
eDrawings is pretty much just a viewer. It was put out to enable people who don’t have autocad to open .dwg files and I believe mark them up. I just use the free version to plot autocad files.
