Hi all,
I am currently a Coop at Consumer Products working with a Robotics Team in NJ, and getting their FIRST team ready for the next season.
We are currently seeking a College student working towards their BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering. The Coop will primarily work with the electrical/programming team providing Programming support. The position is located in Skillman, NJ.
Project FIRST Robotics Co-op
(Late Fall into Spring Semester)
Co-op will be working with freshman to senior high school students primarily mentoring and teaching in a hands-on environment. Co-op will gain leadership experience and provide mentoring to High School students with career interests in science. Co-op is responsible for the electrical design and programming of the robot.
Responsibilities include:
Attends all team meetings at the team’s high school (located in either Ewing or Hillsborough, N.J.). Meetings will be held once a week during the fall semester and then during spring will occur 3-4 times per week (after school) and all day on Saturday.
Most effort will occur at the end of the six-week build period (typically early February), of the robot, when robot assembly and wiring is complete. C++ programming knowledge is required for autonomous mode operation and general debugging of controls. Must be familiar with project FIRST and that it requires a large amount of effort and long hours due to tight project timing.
Once FIRST responsibilities have been accomplished, the co-op will then conclude the work experience with projects related to Consumer and Personal Products Worldwide.
Eligibility: The candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without limitation, i.e. U.S. citizenship or permanent work status is required.
