Email or Regular Mail Potential Sponsors

Hi -
My rookie team has prepared a sponsor packet to send to potential sponsors. Does anyone have advice if email or regular mail works best? I think regular mail will get a better first look and the students can follow up with email. But, I am not sure so I am looking for advice from veteran teams who have had success getting sponsors.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I’ve been able to tell over the years, the only way you can get interest from potential sponsors, is if you know someone who knows someone who works there, in the right position.

It’s tough.

I would either email or call potential sponsors.

And yes, your success rate is going to be much much higher when you have some sort of connection at the company so prioritize those opportunities.

If you have any other questions I’d recommend this resource from FIRST’s website.
