When getting the distance traveled report from pathweaver it gives me wonky numbers. First off, I expect the left and right distance travled to be pretty close – that is not the case. While going relatively straight and after traveling 6 feet and stopping the left reads ~2 units while the right moved ~17 units. I have no idea why and I don’t think it is correct. Is there a way to calibrate the encoder? I went through the manual and all I saw was if the phase was correct which it is.
Make sure your drivetrain encoders aren’t slipping. If you are using the small plastic gear on the shaft it will need a dab of superglue.
We’re using mag encoders, no slipping
Probably a silly question, but are they are both the same pulse-per-revolution?
Do you reset your encoders before you run the pathweaver?
Sounds to me like you’re losing ticks.
What color are the LED’s on both encoders?
Can you be more explicit about where the distance traveled report is from? I wasn’t aware of anything like that in pathweaver.
I think that’s the problem; orange and if i shake it it can go red; we sanded the mounts down and I’ll report after we test again today.

They’re the same encoder so I think.
