They didn’t call it at the Great Lakes Regional even after telling us that they would strictly enforce it on Saturday because of complaints. Are they planning on calling it at Nationals or what?
I am confused as well with the rules as well as the methods of seeding matching ups and the “go home devices” and who ya gotta smooze to be considered for a good aliance during seeding, and so on and so on… If any of it gets cleared up . … let me know… Oh yeah and what are teams doing wheeling there robots in on carts the day of the comp. at THE GREAT LAKES REG. I’m not getting a lot of things…
the same thing happened at VCU and Drexel. They said there had to be an “intent” but what team is going to design a tether that is intended to get DQed. Thus, no team can be DQed. FIRST is getting too kind and too gentle with things that are in blatant violations of the rule(like an actual tape measure bought at Home Depot)
I’ve got a question about the entanglement rule. Our teathered robot is connected by a cord that is about 3/8 in. wide, is that a big threat to entaglement? It seams like another robot could easily drive over it.
