BCIT is a major, public, post-secondary institution with an emphasis on industry experience and teaching first. This is not a “publish or perish” type of environment. We already host the provincial FRC kickoff, but could do a bit more if we had a few more FRC supporters on staff!

I can see two different ski hills from my office, and am about 35 minutes from the ocean… on dedicated and mostly separated bicycle paths.

The Mechanical Engineering program is larger than Robotics and Mechatronics, so we tend to have more regular postings for Mech. The Robotics and Mechatronics program is smaller, so to have a full-time, regular faculty posting for that one is a bit rare.
