Fair Replica Orbit Ball Price? - Poll

I see that a team in Wisconsin is trying to mass produce replica orbit balls. My team may be interested, but we were wondering what others think a fair price would be. They say it costs them $10 to make each ball.

My team made a few without the spandex, so I know how hard it is. That’s why I voted 25 bucks.

Normally, I’d say $10, because, as a rule, I’m not interested in paying more than retail price for anything, but since I know it’s a fundraiser, I’d be willing to pay a little more. I’d consider $11 or $12 to be reasonable. However, since we’re also making a bunch, I wouldn’t be buying any unless they were cheaper than our cost of materials.

I’m starting to think $15 wouldn’t be a rip-off. They are $10 to make and we can’t find them anywhere.

If they’re $10 to make, cost $10 for the retail ones, and can’t be found anywhere, I’d say $15 is a reasonable price to ask. It makes up for the labor put in, and gives the team somewhat of an incentive to do it, since it is time consuming.

Having seen how long it takes to make these balls …
If the materials cost $10 for each one…
$20 is a more than fair price.

I would start there… that’s only $10 for the time.
I think you have at least a man-hour in each ball…unless you can do it alot faster than I have seen…and don’t forget the cost of cutting all the materials etc…

$20 is very fair.

If someone doesn’t WANT to pay for one of these at that price… I think they should just build them themselves…

As far as not “wanting” to pay more than the market price…
No one has established a market price for these…the other orbit balls are no longer available and you cannot compare that price for a non-existent product with this product…

If I were you guys I would take orders and see what the market bears for prices…

I bought a package of three from Logoloc
With shipping and their “extra” markup I paid over $14 per ball…
Those were ALL gone in half a day…

There is market and a demand… use it
