FVC 116 had issues with our gathering system (but our delivery system worked like a charm), combined with a fluke (our right side drive motors coming unplugged) in our 3rd Qual match, made us finish 23rd of the 29 teams. We were selected 9th, as the 2nd pick of the 8th alliance. But we still had a lot of fun, and came within a few points and/or an atlas ball possession of beating the #1 Alliance (and eventual Champion) alliance in the Quarterfinals. Plus we went home with the Connect Award for the 2nd straight year (although, when we won Connect in Duluth last year, it was for autonomous rather than outreach).
i think its funny how they changed what the award is for but kept the name.
Im the captain of team 3013 Gears Of War. we placed second in Qualifing and were on the winning alliance. we come from gar-field high school and paired with another team from our school and one from battle field high school in order to win. Congrats to all the participating teams.

PS: A big “Thank you!” to Prince Edward, and Gar-Field for allying with teams (3040, 3316, 3317) I where I am a mentor.
Gar-field student here, also a member of ‘Gears of War’ team 3013!
It was a blast for us and we also learned a lot from the more experienced teams. We came back with a lot of new knowledge and hopes that we helped others there.
The team that allied with Gar-Field was fun to be around and the members helped to relieve the stress and make it a more enjoyable experience!
Also those pictures are awsome, thank you.
