Fastest Fourth Rotor

What is the fastest an alliance has done four rotors? Eliminations may be a better measure because you won’t get 3 top robots against lower ranked ones. I am sure there may be a faster one but here the last gear was delivered with over a minute left and the 4th rotor spun at 55 seconds left.
2017 Howell Semifinal Match 3

Quick like a bunny, as Tom said!

Probably an opposing alliance at States will hassle you a little bit more than that; however, your alliance was certainly very quick.

We’ve seen 3+D from shooting alliances. I wonder if 4+D will be a thing?

Our fastest saw us spinning with 47 seconds left. It’s not a record, but I haven’t seen a faster one aside from the one Huskie posted.

Our alliance was really great, i loved working with 51 and 302,

great match!

At the perry meridian event, our alliance with 1018 and 2867 during qualification match 63 scored the 4th rotor somewhere around the 45 -50 second mark. I’d link the video but quite literally, this is the only match at the perry event that doesn’t have a video :stuck_out_tongue:

I wonder how quick we did it, will have to go back to the video and see.

3616, 3937, and 281 got one with 45 seconds left in Final 1.1 and right around 40 in SF1.1 at the Bayou Regional. It is going to be interesting at the World level to see 4-D. That would be crazy! The shooter bot is going to make the difference. Four rotors still won’t be the norm, but it will be more a lot more common in elims especially at the divisional semi and finals level. You could see Einstein decided by 1 point or shoots too close to the buzzer not counted and losing by that total. How crazy would that be?

^^ This thread has some responses as well. Here’s the fastest fourth rotor from that thread:

In semis at Iowa we got the 4th rotor with 60 seconds remaining.

Wow that was fast.

I predict some 4+D at INDCMP this weekend. Maybe even some 4+40kpa.

As driver for the Bionic Blackhawks, I didn’t have time to watch the matches. I will say though, awesome job. I hope we meet on the same division for states!

You guys and 3641 kept moving up our list. Your robot was super quick and my drive team actually commented on how smooth our match with you guys was. It is so important that an alliance work well together. Hoping for the same divisoon as well! (I help start 2834 so they will always be one of my favs :D)

I think there were a few of these in Hartford Connecticut last weekend. Look at team 195

610/33 had one going at ~30 sec left, would have been faster if a gear didn’t get impaled on a spring.

We also got 4 rotors spinning right about the 60 second mark in the New England District Championships this past weekend.

And again at about the 52 second mark in QF2

Not sure if there were any faster ones at PCH DCMP this weekend, but our alliance of 4941, 1746, and 5074 got 4 rotors turning at 55 seconds in SF 1-1.

We were almost as quick in SF1-2 at just over 50 seconds.

115, 365, 2468 had the fourth gear in place at 64 seconds in Roebling QF 3-1. Spun the rotor at about 53 seconds.

At Howell, us, 302, and 51 got 4 rotors with 55-60 seconds left
