This is correct.
I approve.
I like how Cormier traded for our Buckeye Alliance Partner (and championship finalist) 781
781 is a risky pick. Last time they were seen in action they barely moved and they haven’t confirmed if they got it fixed yet or that it won’t happen again. If they got it solved then they are a tremendous pick.
If they’re good enough to make it to Einstein, they’re good enough to isolate a case shorted motor in 4 months. At least, in my opinion.
I am in Indy in my hotel (GAWD it’s HOT) with plastic covered windows blocking my lovely view of the back of the Lowes behind the hotel.
Trading is now closed and all rosters are locked.
Good luck all!

Congrats to S.P.A.M.er 17 which just goes to show you don’t have to have a single killer team to win if you have a consistent roster.
This is pretty cool. Thanks to you Koko for putting your time into making sure this went smoothly. Of course congrats to Killer Bees, OP Robotics, Thunder Chickens, and Hawaiian Kids; the 2011 IRI Champions.
this was where the event was won.
Hey I finished pretty well for never submitting a list!
1018 overachieved.
What happened to 51? i never actually got to see any of their matches (or play with/against them), but they have a great robot. did they get new drivers? broken robot?
IRI happened.
I didn’t notice anything physically wrong with their bot. I didn’t get to watch a lot of matches (Human Player), but from the few I saw, they worked quite well. In the one match we played with them, they still sounded quite confident in their bot (that’s not to say that performed poorly, it was still a strong showing, IMO). I am thinking maybe a new driver, or maybe even a coach (Can’t be sure though).
But Ed is right… IRI happened.
Lots of good teams had a bad weekend including 1126’s first pick 233 who ended the weekend with a losing record (4-7). That’s a pretty rare occurrence for them.
I’d have to talk to my scouts to see how 51 did, but 51 was fairly limited strategically with their H/slide drive. Since their best chance of getting picked was as a backup, I’m not surprised they were passed over for some teams that could play defense. This is also one of the reasons I wanted to trade 74 (mechanum drive) for 1732 (6 traction wheel, geared for pushing), because I felt they had a better chance of getting picked as a backup.
I’m not sure. I was impressed with 51’s use of their mechanums in their pre-IRI matches. They could play great tube defense when needed, as well as were a fast scorer, able to put up roughly 4+ tubes a match. Watching their matches prior to IRI, I would’ve loved to have them as a support robot, but the 51 I saw at IRI was not the same team I saw playing with High Rollers and The RAWC on Einstein. Still, that’ not a knock to them in particular. A lot of teams suffered the same deal; as Ed said, 233 was included.`
Even if it wasn’t their besrt showing, it was still an honor to work with PINK! We had a blast! Working with 2016 was also an amazing experience. Unfortunately, we neveer had the opportunity to play 3098, but they were still helpful in match strategy, and an enthusiastic team! Despite being the 8th seed alliance and getting knocked out in two QF matches, it was still alot of fun!
1114, 67 and 987, you guys were alot of fun to play against! I’m sorry things didn’t work out during the semifinals.
And of course, congratulations to 33, 217, 359 and 2056 for the win!
51 did great, they just were at the deepest event in modern FIRST history. 234, 330, 51, 1625, 74 all didn’t get picked.
330 was the only team in the top 16 to not get in while the 63rd ranked team got picked.
