Where has the time gone?

It’s time to start prepping for the Michigan State Championship draft! Right now, we’re between weeks 4 and 5. Between weeks 5 and 6, we draft MSC.

Schedule: Wednesday night, 4/6. I might fudge the draft back half an hour from the normal start time, due to another commitment that probably won’t be over by the time the draft would normally start.

Draft order: Last year, I went the random route, and some folks didn’t especially like that. So, I can think of 5 options for picking order:

1. Total score, highest to lowest.
2. Total score, lowest to highest.
3. Michigan score, highest to lowest.
4. Michigan score, lowest to highest.

It’s scored with all the other regular season events so it seems to me it should be drafted like them.

Also because I am suddenly working all of next Wednesday due to my promotion to Field Supervisor at the Boston Regional I will be busy so I request to move the draft to Tuesday night.

It’s an Excel document linked right above the event list. They also tell who’s qualified for MSC already; it’s just a matter of making sure that those teams want to go/can afford to go.

I hope they have the final list of teams by Tuesday night or else we will have to have the draft on Wednesday night.

There’s 64-65 teams and 12 of us. (Last I checked, 54 teams had confirmed.)
