The field this year is crazy tough to construct. Most teams do not have the resources to reproduce even one accurate copy of every major field element (hopper, airship, boiler, feeder station). What I fear is that even the practice fields at competitions will not have a fully-featured half field for us to practice on.
Does this move away from relatively easy to construct fields (eg. 2014, 2015) further distance the top 1% from those that can’t construct a good likeness? And how should teams with some resources to construct elements (but not an entire replica) be prioritizing the field elements this year?
