How did the FIM event at Calvin University run on schedule while many others were plagued with technical delays? We had a secret weapon — four FIM FTAs, supporting the usual complement of dedicated FIM volunteers. Also an excellent venue host, and an inspired field of competing teams.
Calvin is going to be a great addition to the West Michigan FRC scene. I’ll be back for sure.

I posted the image below on FUN’s socials yesterday remarking how unheard of this message is. Kudos to the entire team for a very well ran event.
The venue was wonderful and honestly a bit surprising for me when I showed up at expecting more of a ‘district’ atmosphere. Nice work to everyone involved. It was wonderful to speak with so many of you at the event and I can’t wait to release some great videos.

At the start of the pandemic, I moved over to Ann Arbor. I was heartbroken to hear that the seasons were cancelled (although for valid reasons). And once I heard that Calvin University was going to host a 2022 event, I jumped at the thought of going back to the West side of the state again!
What an amazing venue filled with incredible teams, volunteers, and staff! Would do this event again in a heartbeat. Absolutely job well done to everyone involved.

Thank you to the FTAs for dealing with our team during a very high stress situation during the quarterfinals. All four were in our robot and supporting us and I greatly appreciate their support.
