Another way to arrive at about the same answer: FiM has 508 teams and 160 will make the cutoff for States. That’s about 31.5%, corresponding to 12th or 13th in District Points earned at a 40 team event.
So far we have played eight events, and the average sum of District Points earned by the 12th and 13th teams on that list at each event is 64.4 points.
It was 60 last year. Two teams above that turned down invitations.
