5515 seems to have touched 580 during endgame on the platform but the Refs didnt call it. Shouldnt it rightfully be a free climb?

You are totally right, there is contact which should have resulted in climb instead of a park. That would have made the score 331 to 355. This wouldn’t have effected the over all outcome of the match since blue still wins.
Just to think, we were that close to losing because of accidental contact o.o

Even if it did change the outcome of the match, due to wildcards, every team in the finals went to champs. The only difference would be the medal color the alliance took home and who took back the banners.
I mean sure, but I don’t like boiling down a win to the color of the medal and the banner… I feel like it trivializes the accomplishment of the winning alliance.
I can only speak for my team, but that win meant a huge amount to us. It was the culmination of years of hard work and improvement. We were absolutely over joyed to win (our win 2nd in team history, first time was a third robot) as an alliance captain.
While winning is a big deal, I feel like going to champs is a bigger deal.
Going to champs naturally (by this i mean not because you’re part of founding teams) while being undefeated is a bigger deal.
Or getting into Hall of Fame but not going to elims?
