FIRST Blast???

Is anybody going to start a FIRST blast for the '08 season?

Previously Eldarion had one last year but a power outage or something messed his system up.

I am in the process of repairing the problem that has prevented the recent blasts from coming through. I do apologize for the inconvenience, however FIRST has not sent any blasts for quite some time, so there was no way to verify the functionality of my setup!

If someone could, upon receipt of an actual FIRST blast from my list, please post here then I will know all is well and the system is operational again.

Thanks, it’s good to know that message went through!

Basically, the list was rejecting any messages from the address that I had given to FIRST. :o I am not sure if they have removed me from their mailing list, so as soon as a blast other than my test message comes through, would you mind posting here again?

If I have been removed from the list, I will contact FIRST again and service should be restored within a couple of weeks.

Well, it looks like the messages are STILL not getting through when FIRST sends them out.

Could someone who has actually received one of the blasts please forward it to me, headers and all, so that I can verify the originating address?

Blasts are emails that FIRST sends out, which contain information teams should know. They are typically only sent out to the main and secondary contacts on the team. For that reason Eldarion made a system which forwards emails received to anyone who signs up for his email list.

Ohh, even though im not first or second contact, can i sign up for the list??

also, is it done in PHP? if so i could help you out, ive made one of those before

Yes, once it is working anyone can sign up.

No, I am using the EZMLM on Linux. Not so easy… :wink:

BTW if you have a recent blast, please forward it to me, headers and all, at eldarion–notspam–@pearsoncomputing.net. Obviously remove the --notspamm–…
