Quick recap: Maddie has 1900 points this month, Stephen has 1200, and Daisy has 1000.
We’ve entered Double Jeopardy, and all point values are doubled. We have four of these, then Final Jeopardy (still no ideas yet :ahh: ). Today’s question is worth 800 (yes, I said 800) points: Kepler’s first law says that the planets all move around the sun in elliptical orbits, with the sun at one focus. What’s quite interesting is that focus is the Latin word for this.
Besides the Latin meaning, one of the foci is at the center of the Sun, however, the other focus point is still within the sun. Technically, the Sun is at both foci.
No, this game isn’t supposed to be answered in the form of a question officially, but people like doing it anyway. i might make it official next month.
The answer I was looking for was fireplace, but I would’ve accepted hearth, and probably funeral pyre. The other’s don’t have much in common with the sun, and some of those didn’t even turn up in my search.
