**FIRST EMAIL**/Autodesk Software Now Available on FIRSTbase!

Greetings Teams:

Prior to sharing with you Autodesk’s message below, we want to take this opportunity to remind our veterans and inform our rookies this is Autodesk’s SIXTEENTH straight year sponsoring the FIRST Robotics Competition! Please join us in thanking Autodesk for their continued loyalty, generosity and support.

Autodesk worked hard to develop and make available the new “FIRSTbase” website in an effort to enhance support of FRC teams this season. From its software downloading capabilities to its on-line tutorials, we are certain you will find this site comprehensive, user friendly and very helpful. Please note the offerings available on FIRSTbase are exclusive to FRC teams! We encourage teams to register as soon as possible and start accessing its great benefits.

If you have questions please contact us at [email protected]. For technical questions, please contact Autodesk at [email protected].

Autodesk has developed a new website specifically for FIRST Robotics teams called FIRSTbase. The website is your destination to download your free 2007 FRC season Autodesk software, access training, the Autodesk Kit of Parts, the Autodesk Design Competition, FIRST resources and team communications.

Download Autodesk® Inventor™11 and Autodesk® 3ds Max® 9. Design your robot, use it to enter the Autodesk Design Competition, or just learn more about the Autodesk software. Only FIRST Robotics teams are eligible for this exclusive offer so take advantage of this benefit now!

If you are the main contact of your FIRST Robotics team, you will need to register yourself and your team to activate your account. More details are available on the Autodesk FIRSTbase site.

Go Teams!

When you sign up it says you will get a confirmation email. I never received mine but i can still log in with the account i created. So if you dont get any email try and just log on. It worked for me. Just a heads up to other teams.

EDIT: Some of the pages appear to be down. I cant get to “My Team” which is where i assume I can invite the other team memebers to the site.

First, thanks to Autodesk for continuing to support FIRST in this way.

When I registered, I waited a while for the confirmation email, and while I was waiting for it to show up I checked my bulk mail (filter) and found that it had gone there instead of my inbox.

However, even after confirming, I have been unable to continue. I can log in, but when I get to the team registration page it doesn’t recognize me as the Main Contact. I’ve double checked all of the TIMMS information to make sure I’m using the correct email and such, but it says the information is incorrect.

Hopefully I can get this resolved today, otherwise it will have to wait until next week.

I got the confirmation, but when I try to login I get a message that states there is no record of my team’s number in the FIRST database and that I should contact FIRST and register. I hope this is not an indication of what is to come with downloading the software.

I’ve sucessfully registered, at least from the standpoint where I’ve received the confirmation message.

However, when I attempt to log in, the page requests a “Team Number” and “Team Password.”

The FIRSTbase registration page didn’t ask for a team number.

Attempting to use the information as requested on the registration page dosen’t work either.

Could this be TIMS userID/Password?

I’ve sent a heads up to HQ.

Same thing happened to me.

Will we still get hard copies of the software, or is this the only way they are distributing it this year?

Eric

Logged in for a few minutes as Main Contact, filled out some information, then got kicked out when I uploaded a bad who-am-I photo. Maybe I need a new photo or a new face perhaps.

Got back in again. Seems to be working now.

Just received e-mail from Autodesk and it is now working. I just registered and looked around. Looks like this will be a very nice resource for us.

Dave

According to team support, the issue should be resolved by tomorrow.

URGENT HELP!
I’m from team #2230 of Handasaim High School in Tel Aviv, Israel and I’m having the same database problem too.
It’s one day to the kickoff and we don’t have the Autodesk programs ready! :ahh:
