Greetings Teams:

Initial Event Registration Opens September 29th @ 12 noon EST: Register for your initial Competition Event in TIMS beginning 9/29 @ 12 noon EST: https://my.usfirst.org/frc/tims/site.lasso. If you haven’t done so already, it’s a good idea to pre-register your team in TIMS now.

Mid-Atlantic Robotics Region: New Jersey, Delaware and the eastern half of Pennsylvania have joined forces to create the Mid-Atlantic Robotics Region and will be holding Qualifying Events leading up to a Region Championship, similar to the Michigan district pilot.

Go Teams!

The pricing link isn’t quite ready yet.
Bill’s Blog predicts it’ll be ready in the morning.

This question was brought up to me by our lead mentor and I think I know the answer but I want to make sure. If a team is registering for two events does the first event that is registered for have been chronological before the second?

Thanks.

No.

I know that everyone is working hard, and there are tons of details, but it is disappointing that FIRST has chosen to open registration on a major holiday for many.

And providing teams with less than 48 (official) hours’ notice to make key decisions is very disappointing to me.

And not knowing if the events are bag and tag or traditional shipping? That affects decisions also and I didn’t see that information provided.

Thats what I thought, but since I had been in that situation before I wanted to make sure.

This is the earliest I’ve ever seen registration. But we’re ready.

I cannot confirm, we are meeting tonight, but was told in the early stages of getting the event approved that we were to expect to be a bag-n-tag, Queen City Regional.

Please be a bag-n-tag and 1528 from Monroe Michigan will do everything possible to participate. This is of course if spots are available after first event selection. Being a Covington/Newport survivalist, I was very excited to see Cincy get a regional.

I’m sure we will be. I believe the push from FIRST is for new regionals to be bag-n-tag (if the venue can support it).

I learned that it was decided that all events, except Championships, will be bag-n-tag

Bill’s blog for today confirms this, with the note that you can apply for a hardship exemption if bringing the robot yourself is going to be a significant problem, and some more details on the timing and process associated with that.
