**FIRST EMAIL**/No Limits Global Exhibition at 2005 World Exposition

Out to 2004 FLL teams…

Greetings Teams:

FIRST Japan has announced that there is remaining space available for another US team to participate in an FLL Global Exhibition one-day tournament at the 2005 World Exposition in Aichi, Japan (formerly called the Worlds Fair) on Tuesday, August 23, 2005.

They currently have 15 teams participating from all over the world. We welcome teams to participate, although we know that it is very short notice. This prestigious international event draws 15 million visitors from around the world each year. This exhibition will be based on the No Limits Challenge. Please see below for details, and respond immediately if you are interested in participating.

FIRST Japan will provide teams with transportation from the hotel to the tournament site, the team Social on the 23rd, and team registration.

Teams will be responsible for: travel expenses to and from Japan (see airport information below, Centrair Airport in Aichi is the closest); transportation cost from airport to the hotel (outlined below); hotel cost (also below, available August 22 and 23), all meals other than dinner on August 23rd.

Because it is summer vacation and the hotels near the Aichi Exposition site are almost full, it is about one hour from the hotel to the site.

Teams will be notified by e-mail when the selection is made on Thursday, July 28.

Cost of the hotel : US$105 person on Aug. 22nd with Dinner and Breakfast
US$92 person on Aug. 23rd with light meal and Breakfast because we of the social party after the competition

Transportation from airports to Hotel Takeshima:

Centrair Airport
Centrair to Gamagori: US$18.70, about 1hour and a half / one way

Kansai Airport
Kansai Airport to Gamagori : US$86.7, about 3 hours / one way

Narita Airport
Narita Airport to Gamagori : US$99.4, about 4 hours / one way

The Hotel Takeshima has a shuttle bus from Gamagori Station to the hotel many times a day, and our volunteer staff will be at the station from 2 PM to 6 PM (check-in time) to guide your team to the bus. Once your team decides your arrival times and which airport, FIRST Japan will coordinate with you.

About sightseeing:
Almost all teams want to go to the Aichi Expo. the next day, August 24th. So the FLL Partners are trying to obtain a one-day pass, if teams are interested. Actually, if you want to go to Aichi -Expo., you have to queue for a long time in the morning to get a one-day pass. They may try to prepare a one-way bus from the hotel to the site of the Expo. If 40 people want to go by bus, the cost should be less than US$15 person and it is much better than public transportation.

Second, if your team wants other sightseeing trips, for example, for Kyoto or somewhere, the Japanese FLL Partners will try to assist in coordinating them, if possible.
