**FIRST EMAIL**/Reminder - Initial Event and Championship Registration for Pre-qualif

Greetings Teams!

Wow, initial event registration starts tomorrow! Is your team ready? Teams will only be able to select an event once their previous year’s information has been updated in TIMS. If you have not done so already, please go to https://my.usfirst.org/frc/tims/site.lasso today and update your Team Profile information!

Remember TIMS will open at 12:00 noon EDT tomorrow, Thursday, October 2nd.

Important Systems Change for 2009: Teams can either register for an initial event or join a wait list; they cannot do both this year. In other words, the system will not allow for a team to first join a wait list then register for an open event afterwards. Please make your selections accordingly.

**Championship Registration:

**Pre-qualifying FRC teams may also register for the 2009 Championship starting tomorrow. For full details please see the 2009 *FIRST *Championship FRC Team Eligibility Criteria located at: http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=944
If you need any assistance, you can contact our Team Support staff at [email protected] - we are ready and eager to help you get going for 2009!

Go Teams!

Interesting - according to the Championship Eligibility chart, there will be 3 winners per regional in 2009 (while I seem to recall it being ambiguous in previous years). Looks like it’s confirmed that we’re due for another game with three-team alliances in 2009.

Sorry 842, nonexistent team 825 was the real winner of the 2008 CA.

That’s a rather embarrassing mistake on FIRST’s part…

We’re glad to pre-qualify already and plan to attend.

Ecck! Wow that came up fast.

Fastest year ever and its not even build season yet! :yikes:

That’s not a sure thing that all 3 team alliance members will be on the field at one time though. (ie: 3v3 game)
Remember, if you will, way back when during a time where there were two active members of an alliance, and an alternate selected only during the finals who would then share a spot at The Championship Event, or Nationals depending on the year. (2v2 games)

Let the further speculation (and uncertainty) commence! :stuck_out_tongue:

Tell us the story, Grandpa!
